Could an office dog help your staff relax?

It’s ‘Take Your Dog To Work Day’ everyday in our office. The Guardian recently shared a blog titled ‘Could an office dog help your staff relax?’. According to their blog, researchers have found that bringing man’s best friend to work can reduce stress and make the job more satisfying for other employees. Speaking from experience, we can say this research is very true!

Stress is a significant drain on business productivity

Are animals in the office a source of distraction, or a legitimate tool for increasing productivity? Many businesses are testing out ways to eradicate stress and build happiness in the workplace. Some businesses are encouraging entrepreneurs to bring in their pet dogs.

Integrating play into the work day is a great way to give your brain a rest. Playing like a dog means you can stand up and take a break from looking at the computer, which is strongly encouraged in our workplace.

Meet our office dog, Mac!

Our office dog, who belongs to Tracy, is an energetic, excitable, loving black Labrador named Mac, short for Mac The Knife. Mac comes to the office 3-5 times a week, and everyone in our office is delighted to see him – and he’s always delighted to see us. Mac will be anyone’s best friend, especially if you have carrots. He LOVES carrots – he’s barking mad!

Your company will be in great company!

It has been said that pets improve teamwork, job satisfaction and employee engagement. Would you ever bring a pet to work? Have you ever worked in a pet-friendly office?
