Client : Heart Of Bucks

The Brief

Heart of Bucks is a community foundation thriving in Buckinghamshire – but not many people in the wider community of Buckinghamshire know they exist!

Since they started back in the year 2000, hundreds of donors have worked with them to provide grants and loans totalling £5 million to 1,600 community groups in all parts of the county.

They approached us with the task of raising their visibility and increasing the number of donors who help them with their invaluable work in supporting charities and community projects in Buckinghamshire.

This was a project that required concept and scripting from scratch, with full video production for a number of charities and not for profit projects.

The aim was to make more people aware of the real need and deprivation in this affluent local community. Heart of Buck’s intention is to use the video to prompt Buckinghamshire residents and business people to support the smaller charities, which require more help, as opposed to the wealthier, more visible national charities.

Aylesbury Youth Motor Project – charity video

 The Aylesbury Youth Motor Project fully supports ‘Every Child Matters’ initiative and offers educational and vocational skills to all young people in the community, with emphasis on the less advantaged and those at risk. Ages range from 13-16 years. They are open to schools, youth clubs, colleges, statutory agencies and anyone else who may be interested!

Horses Helping People video for charity

 At Horses Helping People the focus is on building a trusting partnership between horse and human. Therapeutic horsemanship benefits a wide range of adults and children, including those with behavioural challenges, mental health problems and learning difficulties. It helps to improve mental and physical well being and social skills.

Hughenden Valley Community Shop

The Hughenden Valley Community Shop’s mission is to establish a village amenity that will create a sense of community and a local economy that will benefit the residents of Hughenden Valley. The shop in non-profit making and any profits go back into the community.

Princes Centre – Video for community project


The Princes Centre is a centre run by the people of Princes Risborough for everybody who lives in the town and surrounding areas.  The Princes Centre’s primary mission is to provide a local base day care centre that can also be for the community to use, enjoy and to foster good community relationships.

Bucks Community Foundation – Outreach Work

Bev Trevitt, of the Heart of Bucks, provides support for new groups in the county, to help them to create a solid foundation in which, they can deliver a successful project. By meeting and speaking with each of the groups who apply, it enables the Bucks Community Foundation to make a fully informed decision on the grant application.

Marketing results

The 5 videos were very well received by the client – but did they do the job? The video took centre-stage at a launch event – the feedback was that the audience found our video very moving and enlightening. We are looking forward to reporting back later in the year as to how the team at Heart of Bucks has used this impact to increase funds at their disposal for local charities and community projects.
